The Seashell Museum at CEDO
See a carefully labeled collection of seashells from the Sea of Cortez and learn what local beach finds can reveal about marine life.
What to expect
Plan your visit.
The Seashell Museum displays Naomi Black's educational collection of shells gathered around Puerto Peñasco and the Sea of Cortez. Labels and displays help families identify species, understand where shells come from, and look more carefully during future beach walks.
The museum moved to the CEDO campus in Las Conchas in fall 2025. Published schedules are inconsistent, so visitors should confirm current CEDO and museum hours before driving there. Admission is generally free, and donations support education programs.
