Fishing in Puerto Peñasco
Choose the right amount of time and offshore range.
Rocky Point fishing trips make it easy to experience the Sea of Cortez at your comfort level. Shorter trips suit families and new anglers, while longer charters give the captain more time and range to search offshore fishing grounds. Every trip is different because weather, season, tides, and fish activity shape the day.

Rocky Point fishing questions.
Sea conditions and fishing activity can change, so flexibility is part of every trip.
01Which Rocky Point fishing trip is best for beginners?+
The four-hour trip is usually the best introduction because it stays closer to shore and fits easily into a vacation day. The crew can assist first-time anglers.
02Which trip gives us the best chance to catch bigger fish?+
Longer trips give the captain more range and time to reach additional fishing grounds. However, fishing is seasonal and wild, so no trip can guarantee a species, size, or catch.
03Are fishing licenses and equipment included?+
Bait, rods, reels, tackle, crew assistance, and catch filleting are included. Required fishing licenses are purchased at the dock for $12.50 USD per fisherman.
04What should we bring?+
Bring food and drinks, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, secure footwear, a camera, and any motion-sickness prevention you normally use.
05How many people are required?+
All three trips are private charters, so unrelated groups are never combined. The four-hour charter covers 1–8 fishermen at $440, the six-hour charter covers 1–5 at $480, and the eight-hour charter covers 1–5 at $850. Additional-person and capacity limits are shown on each trip page.
06How do we reserve a fishing trip?+
